The Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer at Zoox is Jesse Levinson. Jesse has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Princeton University. He also received his Postdoctoral Research from Stanford University under Sebastian Thrun – a Professor at the institution. Here, Jesse Levinson developed algorithms under the guidance of Professor Sebastian Thrun for the “$1M-winning entry in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge”.

In the year 2020, Amazon joined together with Zoox and acquired it for 1.2 billion dollars and has since then provided riders with a 4-wheel and no-steering electric taxi – powered and driven by AI.
